Had a lovely surprise visit from my sister who lives in Oz. She came for 6 days (Apr 5th-11th) which I felt was really short but being a teacher and Easter break nearly over (plus 2 kids waiting for her return) 6 days was the best she could do! Her main mission was to deliver the secondhand maxi-cosi baby carrier that she bought on ebayAus$120 which is a pretty good buy considering a brand new one would cost double the price. Also the fact that it is in great condition with only some minor scratches on its frame.
We spent most of the days 'jalan-jalan cari makan' and she got to eat most of the food on her food itinerary :-) Also did quite a bit of shopping. Went to the MetroJaya warehouse sale at Bukit Jalil stadium which was some what disappointing. Only good for buying men's shirts and underwear and some curtains. Also had to walk 'miles' from the carprak to get to the stadium as we didn't know the directions to the nearer carpark. Worst of all had to go back the next day as the shirt I bought hubby was too big and had to be changed! The Best bargain of the month actually came from the Mom's Care concourse sale at Ampang Point. We bought the Fisher Price Rainforest Peekaboo mobile for a mere nRM140 (just cause it didn't have a box) NPRM279. Also picked up some bigger baby clother @RM12 for 2 pieces, teething toys (RM5 each) and a pram toy (RM25). All in all a fruitful week that went just too fast!!

March Round-up
Have been guilty of not logging in any new entries! Now March has come and gone. So let's see...basically I have just been trawling different warehouse sales:
My Dear Warehouse Sale (visited twice) - Not bad but have to look carefully and know the price of products well, otherwise savings are only 10%-20% off normal price. Really cheap items were display ones, such as netted bouncer for RM30 and a stroller for RM50. Bought a set of baby gear clothes fopr RM10 , change mat Rm30, bottle steriliser + warmer RM180, bedsheets, potty, etc...
Loreal Warehouse Sale - Got some pretty good bargains for Garnier whitening set and Loreal revitalift eye gel although most of the products were manufactured more than 2 years ago but I think oklah since still wrapped up. About 40% discount of the normal price
Went to the Motherhood Exhibition at Midvalley with my mum-inlaw wasn't too impressive, very few vendors and the only thing worth buying were eco-friendly 'Aumtumz' reusable nappies, maternity bras and Baby Organix top to toe cleanser. Most stuff were pricey especially imported ones from Oz and Europe. Was hoping to get lots of free samples of maternal milk and baby products unfortunately no such luck. Stemcell banking was obviously popular but we decided against investing in it as the money better used for insurance/savings account for baby.
Spent about 3 hours there was pretty ewxhausting but all in all enjoyable...good to break the usual routine of napping in the afternoon. However I must mention it was quite a nightmare finding a parking spot (even as early as 1045am!). Ended up 'creating my own' parking spot! Thank goodness they don't clamp...
