CNY has passed in a flash. Went to Penang for the first 2 days. Thank goodness we flew as the traffic back (according to my in-laws) was horrible, no parking at the toilets. Took them 2 hours to go from Penang to Ipoh and another 4 hours from Ipoh back to KL. Next year we will not be celebrating CNY in Penang as it would be too difficult traveling with a 6 month old baby. I'm happy cause it has been 3 years since I got to stay in KL for the first 2 days of new year.
I still have a cough and a bit of runny nose. Guess all the new year goodies doesn't help. In Penang all I did was eat and eat some more. Surprisingly Gurney Drive was open and I got to eat a giant serving of "persembur" (indian rojak) that cost a whopping RM18. Also had a taste of asam laksa and 'muachi' (glutinous dessert with peanut sprinkles). After this I will try not to eat anymore hawker food as my sis said that it may be unhygenic and cause problems for baby and me. Resolution: eat more home cook food and no left overs!
Hubby is back at work but more relaxed as his project has been halted indefinitely. Now he will have more time to concentrate on his own business and hopefully spend more time with me, especially when baby is born.
Will be entering my 3rd trimester in March. Hopefully by June I can confirm where I will be doing my confinement month as my sis-inlaw is giving me problems with the room (eventhough she doesn't stay there anymore). Luckily all my siblings are backing me up (except my bro, who incidentally has no mind of his own anymore).
Plan to wash all the baby stuff in the next 2 months before I get too lethargic again. Yesterda we had a clenasing ritual at the yoga center. Was drained and exhausted after that. My sis said it was probably due to the healing effect of the smoke from burning herbs.
I can feel the baby move a lot more now, especially when I lie flat on my back or on my right. He seems to prefer that I lie on my left. I think sometimes his position also affects the number of trips I need to make to the toilet. I can feel a pressure on my bladder and dread what it will be like in the next 3 months. Will I be running to the toilet every 5 mins?! I hope not...
