5 months Pregnant

I am now 5 months pregnant. The first trimester was pretty difficult, feeling nauseous most of the time especially when I first woke up, when I was hungry and when I was too full or tired. Couldn't stand the smell of fried foods and cleaning my dog's crap! I found relief in taking some apple cider vinegar by the teaspoon but later discovered that it may not be good for baby. I was throwing up almost 3 times a week, never in my entire life had I ever up-chucked like that before and it was most unpleasant.
Started prenatal yoga 2 months ago. Certain postures initially made me nauseous for example the cat pose and any movements that compressed my stomach. Now it's much better and I try to do my joint and breathing exercises whenever possible (mostly in front of the tv). Nowadays I have a routine of sleeping in the afternoon for at least 2 hours ( at my aunt's place). Also since I can't cook (raw meat makes me sick), I have been either eating out or at my aunt's *guilty* . Otherwise I just make sandwiches. Not my favourite but I have it with whole meal bread . Have also stocked up with lots of organic snacks, biscuits and crisps. Current fav fruits are bananas, papaya and mangoes. Apples and oranges make me feel sick. Have also discovered that a teaspoon of Vegemite really helps to alleviate nausea. I am constantly trying out different remedies including sucking on dried prunes and fruits (assam).
I am however an insomniac at night, needing to go to the loo at least 3 times every night. Try to drink less water but sometimes just too thirsty. I also get hungry every 2 hours or so. Also been having anxiety thoughts about the impending birth. Scary... but everyone tells me it would just come naturally ( I hope so). Have been given all types of advice including talking to my baby to make the birth easier! Personally I prefer retail therapy, helps make it more interesting and my mind off giving birth.
